THERMAL-BOND for home renovations!

Introducing a family of THERMAL-BOND products to help the homeowner easily insulate existing homes, reducing energy costs. THERMAL-BOND panels are modified SIPs. They can be sized to any thickness to meet your required insulation levels from R3 to R40. Anyone comfortable running a skill saw can accomplish a first rate job installing. Thermal-Bond panels are easily set in place and glued to your cement basement walls and floors, using expanding foam adhesive. The 'insulating' result is remarkable and since there is no stud framing involved there is no thermal bridging of framing members channelling the heat out of the space.

THERMAL-BOND includes a choice of surfaces as finished surfaces or OSB. Wire chases in the wall panels facilitate easy wiring after installation. In fact the wire chases allow wiring changes easily -any time down the road when the room is fully finished.

The most beneficial application of Thermal-Bond may be the basement or crawl space. They are also an excellent product for upstairs interior. We also have an exterior roof panel in a configuration proven for 20 years on retrofit or new roofs.

Watch for many more new renovation products as they become available.

Generous rebates are currently available through LiveSmart BC and federal from EcoEnergy Retrofit Homes program. They both work from the EnerGuide audits which visits and reports before and after the improvements. Up to half of the cost of Thermal Bond can be covered by the grants. While you are getting the Energuide audit they will provide for you a list of improvements in a priority order that will best accomplish energy upgrades. For most homes insulation is #1.
